Rock Hill School Board Considers Sell of District Office Building, Property #rockhill #rhschoolboard

For Immediate Release
August 8, 2016

Rock Hill Schools Board of Trustees is considering an offer to sell the district office building and property located at 660 North Anderson Road.

The 42,500 square feet building sits on 12 acres at the intersection on Anderson and Mt. Gallant Roads and has been listed with Rock Hill-based The Tuttle Company.

A sale has been a possibility since February 6, 2012, when the intent to sell was first made public. If the board chooses to accept the current offer, district staff would shift its focus to finding a new centrally-located home to better serve and support the district’s nearly students 18,000 students, 27 schools, and the Rock Hill community.

Revenue from the sale of the current office location would aid in financing the construction of a new office. At the request of the board, multiple options for a potential new district office location are being explored and will be discussed at the August 8 and August 22 board meetings.
