Our State Senator Mick Mulvaney attended Governor Sanford's press conference today along with the following state representatives:
Senator Lee Bright, Senator Kevin Bryant, Senator Tom Davis, Senator Larry Grooms, Senator Shane Martin, Senator Phil Shoopman, Senator Danny Verdin, Representative Garry Smith, Representative Tommy Stringer, and Representative Bill Wylie
They claim South Carolina will lose between 23,800 and 34,850 private sector jobs if the stimulus money is accepted, that our state budget still has millions of dollars in spending for items that are far less essential than teachers or law enforcement - that it is irresponsible that some lawmakers are making this a choice between firing teachers or eliminating private sector jobs.
Make your own decision and let Mick know one way or the other. It is important that you do!
