Rock Hill Schools Information for Feb. 3
Students Advise Superintendent
Last October Supt. Lynn Moody organized the Supt.'s Student Advisory Council. It's comprised of two student leaders from each middle and high school. She's met with the Council three times, one being a board meeting where students shared their opinions about cell phone use. Her next meeting is scheduled on February 11.
Montessori Magic
The Children's School at Sylvia Circle, Rock Hill's only public school which offers the Montessori curriculum, invites district employees who have children ages 3 and 4 to attend Montessori Magic night from 6:00-7:00 Feb. 23. Information and packets for enrollment will be available. The enrollment period will end April 3.
South Pointe boosters will sponsor BBQ fund-raisers on Feb. 6 & 7 to raise money for championship rings for the football team. Please call 487-1016, 324-4722, or 389-7759 to place orders for Feb. 6 and to find out about the "Stallion Tailgate Party" on Feb. 7.
Congratulations to Lynn Fulton-Archer, language specialist at Richmond Drive, who submitted a student video in a podcast contest which is now a national finalist. Winners will be selected by a judging panel and by a popular vote. View http://www.actflvideocontest.org/ and vote for Richmond Drive Feb. 2-6.
