EOC survey seeks public perception of school performance

I got this invitation to participate in a survey.  I sure hope they don't do what they say - make decisions based on an "internet" survey. They should do a statistical sampling if that is their objective.  Anyway, here is the information, you can decide to participate.

"You are encouraged to participate in an online survey by the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee and Clemson University to gauge South Carolina residents' perceptions of public schools in the State.

Results of the survey, which will operate throughout the month of March, will be among the information used to set new statewide goals, student performance levels, and school ratings. The EOC, as a result of changes to the Education Accountability Act in June 2008, is charged with working with determining the criteria for the five academic ratings schools and school districts will receive and the criteria for the three student performance levels on the new state accountability test.

The survey seeks the public's attitudes and expectations for their schools and the state and takes about 10 minutes to complete."
