Northwestern's Bryan Coburn in Finals for The South Carolina Teacher of The Year
Bryan Coburn, a computer science and pre-engineering teacher, became Northwestern's Teacher of the Year last May, the District's Teacher of the Year in August, and is now one of five finalists for S.C. Teacher of the Year. As part of the state's two-step selection process for honor roll teachers, Bryan will be videotaped teaching a class and will participate in an interview by a seven-member committee.-Northwestern's "Little Boys' Football Camp" for ages 7-14 will be held June 22-25 between 8:30 and noon. The cost is $75 for the four days, which is quite a bargain compared to a number college camps for youngsters. To register, contact Rose Baker at 981-1989.
-The students and staff at Ebinport have raised almost $1,600 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through their Pasta for Pennies campaign. Hats off to Lou Ellen Holliday, counselor, for leading this successful venture.
-Lamp poles and store windows in downtown Rock Hill are now decorated with festive art banners created by Rock Hill students.
-Students and staff at Oakdale recently participated in the Souper Bowl of Caring where they collected almost 1,800 canned goods for the Salvation Army.
