¿Laurel Hilton, art teacher at Old Pointe Elementary, who’s
been selected to receive Artsonia’s Annual Leadership Award,
an honor extended to teachers from only 10 schools across the
U.S. This award honors teachers who go beyond the classroom
walls to encourage family and community involvement in Arts
Education and who use technology integration within the school
arts program.
¿Brooke Rice, chorus teacher at Rawlinson Road Middle School,
who, with her husband, will be contestants on the TV show, Wheel of Fortune, in a few weeks. The show, however, will not air until December or January.
School Fundraiser
Rock Hill High – Choral members are selling discount cards for $10 to local businesses such as Moe’s, Domino’s Pizza, Dairy Queen, Arby’s, Baskin Robbins, and Sweet Frog, etc. The cards, which will be good until Sept. 14, 2014, can be ordered by contacting Jonathan Hall (jhall@rhmail.org).
