We Proudly Salute . . .
Our Sodexo Food Services Staff, both in the schools and in the district office, for the nutritious meals they provide to our students and staff and for the excellent catering they do for special events. 
 
Photos Needed
The district needs photos of students, students working with staff, and from school events for the district’s website and facebook pages along with a brief explanation. One can send to Laura at lcline@rhmail.org or to Elaine at ebaker@rhmail.org.
 
School and Community Events
  • The Rock Hill High Choral and Theatre departments will present “The Little Mermaid” at 7:30 pm Thurs., Oct. 17, Fri., Oct. 18, and Sat., Oct. 19, in the school auditorium. Tickets are FREE for district employees with an ID and $10 for adults and $8 for students. 
  • The 901 Nightmare will have Student’s/Educator’s Night on Oct. 18 with some of the proceeds benefiting South Pointe High School. Any student or faculty member can present their school ID for discounted admission for the scare of their life. For more information, go to www.the901nightmare.com.
  • The kick-off date for the “Keep America Beautiful” Recycling Bowl is October 21, and any school can compete. Last year’s state winners were our own Applied Technology Center, first, and Finley Road Elementary, second. For details on the competition, go to http://recycle-bowl.org.
  • The City of Rock Hill will have its Grand Opening of the RH Outdoor Center on Saturday, Oct. 26, on the Riverwalk Parkway.
  • The City of Rock Hill will host the “Old Town Zombie Crawl 5K/Fun Run and Zombie Survivor Party on Sat., Oct. 26. The event is primarily for students in middle school through college. This event needs volunteers, so those interested should call 803.524-5671.

Reminder
Operation Medicine Drop – Discard unused, unwanted and expired medication through Oct. 26 at police depts. throughout York County.
