Enzo Martinez, Northwestern High School Graduate, Named College All-American

Enzo Martinez

UNC senior midfielder Michael Farfan was a first-team selection, and Tar Heels senior left center back Jalil Anibaba and sophomore midfielder Enzo Martinez were voted to the second and third teams, respectively.


Martinez, appeared in all 24 matches, starting 22 in the midfield and up top where he led the Tar Heels in scoring with 25 points on the season. The sophomore tallied 10 goals with five assists, including a team-high five game-winning goals. Martinez finished the campaign with the 29th most goals in the country.


The players will be honored at the annual NSCAA All-America Luncheon, to be held at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel on Jan. 15, as part of the 2011 NSCAA Convention
