South Pointe Choral Breakfast
When: 8-10 Saturday morning, March 10
Where: Fatz Café on Herlong
Cost: $7 for adults and $4 for kids; tickets available from choral members or at the door
Menu: 3 pancakes, 3 sausage links, fruit cup, drink
Teacher's Choice Art Exhibit
The annual Teacher's Choice Youth Art Exhibit, sponsored by Artsee magazine, is now on display through March 18 in all galleries in the Center for the Arts on Main Street in downtown Rock Hill. The exhibit features artwork by elementary, middle and high school students. A free, public reception and awards ceremony will be held at 6 pm March 8 at the Center for the Arts.  
Money for Charity
Congratulations to students at Old Pointe and Independence elementary schools on raising more than $8,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students at Old Pointe raised $3,110 while students at Independence raised $5, 010.80. Hats off to organizers Suzanne Dalesandro (Old Pointe) and Maria Sylvester (Independence).
It's BBQ Time!

Boosters for the Rock Hill High Band of Distinction will hold their Spring BBQ on March 16 and March 17 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church. Once again, they will have BBQ pork and chicken available; and new this spring, they will offer pork butts!

Summer Workshops
The York Soil and Water Conservation District and the Clover School District will offer two great workshops in July for teachers in York County: a three-day science workshop for K-8 teachers and a one-day Project Learning Tree environmental course for K-12 teachers.
