Advocacy in Action

· SCSBA salutes Walter Brown, member of the Rock Hill District Three School Board, for convincingly defeating SC Center for Grassroots & Community Alternatives President Thomas Simuel, in a January 15^th debate at the Rock Hill Freedom Center. The debate centered on the topic of vouchers and tuition tax credits. Brown effectively stated the potential harm any voucher or tuition tax credit program would have on public education in SC and overwhelmingly won the majority of support from the audience.
