Thank You - Rock Hill Herald

We are lucky to live in an area that gets great support for public education from the local media. Sunday's Rock Hill Herald had Several articles of interest. In continuing coverage of the Rock Hill High School Band's attempt to break the world record for the longest single drum roll Jason Foster gives a follow-up report here. has an amazing story about soon to be soccer legend, Enzo Martinez. You can find his story here.

Congratulations to the Bearcat drummers! I know they are excited!

I share our Superintedent's concern that we'll be sharing Mr. Coburn with the rest of the state for a year (without his services in the district). Bryan is a student's teacher and a teachers teacher.

As for Mr. Martinez - he has been such an impact on South Carolina high school soccer that all you have to say is Enzo, and everyone knows you are talking about "that player from Rock Hill". If you have not seen Enzo play, you'll have just a few more opportunities to do so (This Tuesday being one). Even if you don't understand soccer (and I know a lot of you don't), you'll want to be able to say, I saw Enzo when he played high school soccer.
