Congratulations to . . .
- the Rock Hill Family Resource Center on its selection as a finalist for the Safe Kids 2013 S.C. Checking Station of the Year. The Center will again check child safety seats free of charge, beginning Friday, Sept. 20, between 9:00-1:00.
- Saluda Trail Middle School on being one of seven schools selected statewide to participate in a pilot program with transformSC, an education initiative of New Carolina, a collaboration of business leaders, policymakers, educators, parents and students who want to transform S.C.’s public schools.
Olde English Festival of Bands
The Northwestern Purple Regiment and the Rock Hill High Band of Distinction will again co-sponsor the annual Olde English Festival of Bands in District Three Stadium on Sat., Sept. 28. Admission will be $8/adults, $5/students and free for children under age 5. Great bands from South and North Carolina will compete. The Purple Regiment will perform in exhibition at 5:30 pm and the Band of Distinction, at 9:45.
