South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley made a short visit to Castle Heights Middle School on Monday to recognize that Castle Heights was a "school to watch" and to bring a message that "Cool Kids Don't Bully":
The Governor addressed 6th graders in the auditorium about bullying with some South Carolina facts mixed in. She asked the students about the; State Bird (Carolina Wren); Drink (Milk); Tree (Palmetto); Snack (Boiled Peanuts) and; Vegetable (Collard Greens). The State Vegetable stumped most of the students.
She also had a message that bringing jobs to South Carolina was something she worked on every day - and she mentioned some of the major products made in South Carolina.
After the talk, Governor Haley visited 7th and 8th graders in their classrooms.
