Ways For Your School To Communicate

A required skill for learning today is to have a great communication network in place at your school. If you are a parent, check to see how many of the methods described below are used by your school:

From the Burlington High School Principal's Blog:

Communication With Burlington High School

As we approach the last days of summers and our students are just a few days away from returning, I thought it a good time to remind everyone that a major goal for us at BHS is our communication with community members.  As we work at continuing to improve our communication with staff, students, families, and members of the greater BHS community I wanted to share some of the ways that you can stay on top of what is going on at BHS and also communicate with us if you need to.

Email/Phone:

My email is sullivan@bpsk12.org and phone number is  781.273.7662 - please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns..  All other staff emails and phone numbers can be found through our staff directory.

The BHS Principal's Blog and Twitter Account

We will continue to utilize the BHS Principal's Blog and twitter account as the main sources of communication on news from our school.  We suggest that you enter your e-mail address into the box at the top of the blog on the right hand side that says get BHS Blog Updates in your e-mail and also sign up for twitter and follow @bhsprincipal.  This will give you a daily e-mail and tweets with news and happenings from BHS.  You can unsubscribe from these options at any time.  If you happen to have a reader account, you can also subscribe to the blog by clicking on the "subscribe to" button at the top of the blog.

Our School Facebook Page:

Following our school Facebook Page is another great way to stay on top of the happenings at BHS!

You can follow the news and updates from BHS on the Burlington High Twitter Account and BHS Athletic Twitter Account

Our BHS Alerts Account for Emergency News and Updates

You can get the most important news from BHS by simply texting - follow bhsalerts - to 40404.  This will give you updates to breaking news and important reminders from our BHS Alerts Twitter account without ever signing on to Twitter.

We will reserve our alerts to items that impact all of our students and their families such as - Parent Conferences, School Closings, Emergency Drills, etc. If you try it out and do not like it you can simply test - off bhsalerts - to 40404.

In addition to this, many staff members have twitter accounts, classroom blogs, Facebook pages, and other means to communicate with students and parents.  A great time to ask our teachers about this is at our back to school night on Wednesday, September 12 starting at 6:30.  Mark your calendars now, I hope to see you all there.
